HERMES WATCH METIER
French luxury brand Hermes created a series of wristwatches with a complication where a button on the watch would cause the hands to mechanically disappear. The wearer would be unable to tell the time and would instead have a daydream, meditate, spend time with his children, etc. The wearer would then press the button causing the hands to reappear and he would return to reality. These whmisical interludes, filmed for Hermes.com, are mike mellia's interpration of that idea and create a world of wonder. He appears himself in several of the videos of the model, in addition to writing, directing, and editing them. The CTR and conversion rate for these pages exceeded expectations and the videos ended up being re-licensed for additional years of usage.
NYC director Mike Mellia filmed a series of looping self-portraits and video loops for Hermes' watch métier.
Carefully choreographed creative accidents and whimsical interludes create a world of wonder.
